Hello again. A new week, a new update !

We are right now in the Polish state of our game, which means there will be no more features added. We just focus on making our game look good, repair issues if there still are any, and make it ready for release.

Art

For animation, one of our programmers added an Animation state machine. Which means the animations will interact correctly already, all we had to do is actually make the animations themselves and add them into the state machine correctly. So, that's what we decided to work on first. It is important our characters feel alive and interact with their environment.

We added a clean UI page for the character selection.  

And the layout of our map changed bit! We decided to open up the middle of the map to give the player more playing room.

Some of the particles we made got a visual upgrade!

Programming

This week we started polishing the game.
We created a transition effect between the screens so that it would look nicer to navigate between them.

We also added a blinking effect when the timer reaches 10 seconds remaining that makes the screen around the corners red to alert the players that the time is running out and they have to rush to get the last extra points!

We are still working on assigning all the art to the UI so that we can apply the last touches like making the characters giggle a little when the players are connected to understand which one they are.

We are trying to give more player feedback and make the goal of the game clearer, in fact, there are a lot more visual effects in the game!
We also fixed some bugs here and there.

Sound

It's finally here! 

We have added sounds to the game. As part of the polish it's almost vital that there is some sound! There is now background music and sounds in the UI. The game feels way more alive now that we have finally added it and we hope you are just as immersed as we are!
