Devlog 05: Production Sprint 1 - week 2


Hello everyone, welcome to our devlog!

ART

We had a small issue with the scaling of the environment so it took a bit to fix those and have a properly scaled level where everything fit nicely.
We started modeling assets that we need for our environment and start the rigs for our characters. Since Mixamo won't work for our Plants, we have to rig and animate it ourselves. This time around, we should really head up to texturing and making finished meshes. Sadly enough, there is not a lot of progress this week. But we will work hard to make it up the coming week.

PROGRAMMING

The programming team worked on implementing more of the mechanics.
We added a basic HUD so that it can be visual appealing to see which team is winning and how many eggs have been collected.
We added the roots plant mechanic that blocks the players. Now the player can dash too and the collisions have been included, so the level starts to get shape!
We also included some interaction between players but we still have to test this together with the team.
For now we just continue to add all the mechanics we need in order to have the base of the game!
